I focus on working with people who want to:

  • find, maintain, and/or improve their relationships; have a desire to be more connected to others

  • learn to manage social anxiety and fear that prevents you from approaching important goals

  • address shame that contributes to feelings of low self-worth and loneliness

  • mindfully approach life transitions and major changes (parenthood, divorce, moving, job change, aging, grieving a loss) and define “next steps”

context matters; let’s get flexible

My approach is informed by contemporary contextual behavioral therapies, which means that I work with you to increase your awareness of how different contexts (people, places, situations) influence your how you react to and “show up” in your life.

When we move through life without this awareness, it can be difficult to see how we may be automatically responding to or getting stuck in unhelpful and unwanted patterns. There may be times when our reactions to ourselves and others do not align with who or how we want to be, which impacts our quality of relationships and living.

With more awareness, we help get ourselves off of auto-pilot and have more freedom choose how we want to respond to life’s challenges. We will work together to help you be more flexible—to have more tools to work with—so that you are responding to the people and situations in your life with greater intention, effectiveness, and connection.
