Fees

My practice is self-pay, which means that I am not contracted with any insurance companies. This preserves my autonomy and integrity in providing you the most effective therapy and protects your privacy and personal information.

90-minute initial intake assessment, $260

55-minute individual therapy session, $190

Insurance reimbursement

Many insurance companies offer reimbursement for services from providers outside of their network. Plans vary widely and so I ask that you determine what insurance benefits you can receive and obtain reimbursement from prior to our first session. They will need to know the "procedure code" for a standard hour therapy appointment, which is 90837.

Below are other initial questions to ask your insurance provider about seeing an out-of-network provider:

  • I am seeking out-of-network services, what are the percentage of the provider's fees that are reimburseable?

  • Is there a deductible?

  • How many sessions per year does my plan cover?

  • What information do I need to submit in order to receive out-of-network services?

  • What website/email/fax do I send the information to?

  • Are there any time limitations regarding filing my claims?

Good Faith Estimate Notice

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, mental health care providers are required to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) to individuals not enrolled in an insurance plan or who plan to use their out of network benefits. A GFE enumerates the expenses you can reasonably expect to pay for psychotherapy services provided by me.

  • A GFE shows the costs of non-emergency psychotherapy services that are reasonably expected for your mental health needs and the estimate is based upon information known at the time the estimate was created.

  • A GFE does NOT include no-shows, late cancellations, or other services related to crisis care, which by definition are unexpected and cannot be predicted for the purpose of compiling a GFE in advance

  • I will provide you with a GFE in writing at least 1 business day before our first session. You can also ask any other health care provider for a GFE before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate, which is valid one year from the date of issuance.

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit
